For our team in the offshore division, 2024 began with exciting challenges and developments!
Our service employees were working all out to make the wind parks even more efficient and bring them up to the highest safety standard.

Here are some highlights:

  • Earlier season start
Thanks to the new projects and good planning, we were able to start the 2024 season earlier than usual. This allowed us to respond quickly and flexibly to the requirements of the wind park and to complete the maintenance and repair work on time.

  • First assignment for the inspection of transition pieces
One highlight was our technicians’ first assignment to inspect the safety equipment in the transition pieces (TPs) – a crucial measure when it comes to ensure safe plant operation.

  • Successful HIAB level 2 training in Sweden
In March 2024 five of our technicians successfully completed HIAB level 2 training (practical) in Sweden. They have now further expanded their skills in preventive maintenance, corrective repair and troubleshooting and are in an even better position to provide rapid and efficient solutions for maintenance and repair assignments.

  • Fall protection system upgrade
In several wind parks, we were able to update the fall protection systems as well as carrying out the regular technical and safety inspection (TMSE). The new equipment will increase the safety of the technicians and enable the wind turbines to continue operating reliably in the future.

"Thanks to the dedication and expertise of our service employees, we are now in the perfect position to make even more offshore wind parks safe and efficient in 2025," says Marc Wollschläger, Head of Sales at BWTS GmbH.
