From 7 to 11 October, this year’s ISO 9001:2015 audit was carried out by inspectors from TÜV Nord.
"What exactly is ISO 9001:2015? The ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised standard that specifies the requirements for quality management systems. Fulfilling these requirements means that the organisation’s processes are suitable for providing products and services in adequate quality. The required quality of products and services is based on customer expectations and the relevant legal and regulatory requirements. At the same time, the management system is supposed to be subject to a continuous improvement process, and this needs to be proven as part of the audit," explains Heiko Schiemann (Head of Operations, BWTS GmbH)
The topics covered by the inspection range from very general issues like being entered in the commercial register and having the appropriate process overviews, data sheets and organisation measures to detailed examination of the risk assessments, work instructions and inspections of PPE, vehicles, warehouse and tools.
