BWTS GmbH, one of the leading independent service providers for renewable energy in Germany and Europe, has secured a strong strategic investor. ZPUE, a European market leader in electrical energy infrastructure, is acquiring BWTS GmbH, laying the foundation for a dynamic growth strategy.
For over fifteen years, BWTS has been a trusted partner for operators of wind energy installations (onshore and offshore), photovoltaics, e-mobility, biogas, and hydrogen. With a team of 153 highly skilled employees, more than 12,000 inspections carried out annually, and servicing 2,500 wind farms across over 30 countries, BWTS ranks among Europe’s leading service companies. The company collaborates with renowned manufacturers such as Siemens Gamesa, Vestas, Enercon, RWE, and EDF, and operates locations in Germany (Stäbelow, Nordhorn, Hamburg-South, Danischenhagen) and France (Amiens).
Through ZPUE’s investment, BWTS will be able to significantly expand its service capacity, introduce new technologies, and broaden its portfolio for customers. The partnership provides access to additional technological resources, a wide range of products, and enables stronger presence in key areas of the energy transition.
“The partnership with ZPUE is a decisive step for our development. We are gaining not only an investor with a strong, stable financial foundation and long-term perspective, but also a partner with extensive expertise in energy infrastructure. Together, we can strengthen our market position and offer our customers comprehensive solutions,” emphasizes Michael Richter, Managing Director of BWTS GmbH.
For ZPUE, the acquisition represents a significant expansion of installation and service capabilities in major Western European markets, as well as entry into the wind energy sector. ZPUE, a leading manufacturer of transformer stations, switchgear, EV charging infrastructure, and energy storage systems, is thereby reinforcing its integrated service offering.
“This transaction marks another milestone for ZPUE. We are combining our experience in manufacturing and integrating energy infrastructure with BWTS’s service expertise. This creates a clear and unique competitive advantage" highlights Michał Wypychewicz, CEO of ZPUE.
The integration of both companies will generate significant synergies: faster response times, lower costs, participation in larger projects and tenders, and the ability to offer comprehensive solutions – from production and installation to service – all from a single source. At the same time, this investment is a key step in the company’s international expansion.
